Cheap Disney Vacations

I was in a moderate hotel 89.00 dollars including tax for the night. Clean and plenty of space for the two of us. We were only staying one night. So I take a shower and put my feet up to have a nap before dinner.

Eyes closed and my mind started to wander but it kept coming back to the air conditioning. The noise it was making was quite incredible! However, it was also normal. I’ve spent plenty of nights in motels and hotels in all budget ranges and it seems to me that its only when you get to the rooms where the unit is in the ceiling rather than under the window do you get much quieter cooling.

Anyway, back to my story. I was thinking back to the days when I took my daughter to Disney as a 4 year old. It was our first time and we didn’t know much – we had a room very similar to the one I was trying to nap in – 400 sq ft and 2 queen beds, 1 TV, 1 bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. I had the same problem then as now – the noise.

It wasn’t just the noise of the a/c. There was also the shrieking of he kids whose parents let them roam around the hotel till all hours and then the maid who wanted to clean the room at 8am…

And then I recalled that it really didn’t have to be this way. For people who have $90 a night in the accommodation budget for their Florida vacation, they can do so much better then a hotel room!

For $90 or less, including taxes, you can have a 3 bedroomed Florida villa with its own private pool! Better still its likely to be within a few minutes drive of Disney rather than miles away. In fact, you not only get 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people but you’ll have at least 2 bathrooms, a deck, maybe with a gas grill! Oh – did I forget to mention the cable TV, quiet ac, phone, internet access, dvd player, games rooms as well?

So why do people still book into hotels and motels for a Disney Vacation? To be honest I don’t know – a Florida Vacation Rental is by far the cheapest way to go! Can you imagine trying to sleep 8 in a motel room? Why would you when you can sleep 8 in a vacation rental home for the same price? The decision is yours but I honestly can’t see any reason not to reserve a Florida vacation rental home for your next Disney vacation.
