With its village-like atmosphere, a thriving sense of creativity and its regular farmer’s markets, Pimlico Road is an extremely popular amongst the great and good of Belgravia, and even beyond. Although you might go with the intention of buying nothing, you’ll certainly come back with something to improve the home. There’s a whole host of stores that specialise in fine goods for the home.

You could add some character to your walls with a piece of art from one of the many art galleries on Pimlico Road – a line-up that includes Dale Rogers, Gordon Watson and Gallery 25. You could revitalise your living room with a selection of soft furnishings from the likes of Luke Irwin, Joanna Wood and The Biggest Blanket Company. Or you could even go a step further and plan an extensive remodel, by taking a browse at Poggenpohl’s sophisticated range of kitchens.

All this browsing and buying can lead to the build-up of a serious appetite – an appetite for great food. Fortunately Pimlico Road and its surrounding areas can provide a whole host of fantastic dining options. We’ve taken and detailed a trio of the best restaurants that you could easily get to whilst shopping in the area.

Tartufo Restaurant (11 Cadogan Gardens): Based in Chelsea – rather than on Pimlico Road – this restaurant specialises in serving the gourmet creations of Manuel Oliveri. Its menu boasts many a contemporary dish, including a stunning main course of Atlantic cod served up with aubergine and flower tempura, and red onion marmalade. At 11 Cadogan Gardens you can determine whether you want to enjoy a light meal or make it an evening to remember – with two, three and four courses.

The Tartufo Resaurant is based in the ever-popular No. 11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel too, meaning if you’re just visiting you could quite easily extend your stay in the Pimlico Road area by a couple of evenings.

Rasoi (10 Lincoln Street): Rasoi is a Michelin-starred restaurant and has consistently featured in Zagat’s best Indian restaurants – a clear indicator of its class. It’s incredibly popular amongst visitors to Pimlico Road and boasts a great menu of traditional dishes – such as the Punjabi bhatti chicken, accompanied by a fennel potato crush, a chicken and mushroom jus, and a naan drizzled with mushroom truffle oil.

Due to its high level of popularity amongst locals – on Pimlico Road – you’ll probably need to book a table in advance. Should you turn up without a booked table, you’ll probably end up leaving with a great amount of disappointment.

Manicomio (85 Duke Of York Square): Manicomio requires very little walking to get to – just ten minutes – although it’s not actually based on Pimlico Road. It’s a famous haunt of those with a penchant for the fine flavours of Italian cuisine. This restaurant’s amazing selection of dishes includes tiger prawn and clam risotto, and tagliatelle with ox cheek and heart Bolognese. Manicomio also possesses a fine wine list – you’ll find plenty of brilliant flavours to complement your meal.
